Extensively ported M20 head; OBD 1 M50 Harness; M20 Race Clutch and Flywheel

Need to sell several pieces that I have been trying to hold on to for a while, but time to clean up.

M20 I Cylinder head, ports are Much larger then factory, they were gasket matched to factory gaskets and then cleaned up all the way to the valve. Polished up quite a bit as well, primarily on exhaust so that carbon does not stick to it (intakes are rougher for fuel atomization). Decked .030", which will up the compression on a stock engine to about 9:1 (from 8.8:1). Was initially built for a 2.7l stroker with ITBs that was never finished. Easily has over 40hrs of work in it. Comes with a head gasket kit (OEM), matched valves that I can install before shipping, head bolts, timing belt (Contitech), water pump (BMW). $700 Shipped OBO.

An engine does not know how many valves it has or what badge is on it, if the head flows, you will make power.

And this is the clutch, custom built by a local clutch builder. It is a near replica of my old one that I had in a drift E30, my old one had the pressure plate crack in the little tabs where the basket meets the surface area (after 16k Hard miles), so this one was quite a bit reinforced using 3 layers of heavier plates (vs. 2 thin strips). The center is a kevlar 6-puck unsprung, which is surprisingly easy to drive with on the street. Springs fail, so no springs, less chance of failure. The flywheel is a factory flywheel with about 4lb removed, any more would have affected the rigidity, and decrease low end torque. The basket and pressure plate were built to work together and release as smooth and perfect as possible, its not just a bin of parts in the same box. Comes with a new pilot and release bearing, as well as the alignment tool. PP bolts as well*
$400, talk to me about shipping if needed.

You can email me at pavloh@gmail or PM. Thanks for looking!

OBO on everything. Nice 5x100 rims is something I would rock.

Has the head been flow tested before and after the head work to see what type of gains were achieved? I hear alot of horror stories to people porting and polishing their heads only to lose power.

It was not flowed, and was built for a 2.7. I wish I could finish my m20 and dyno it, but I lost interest in the project and already sold off a bunch of parts. It is possible to lose power with port work, that usually happens when people buy a bunch of parts without much thought and they don't work together. If you want to gain full potential from a 2.7 l, you will like this. If I don't sell it soon, I'll go ahead and buy all the parts again I think.

And 100$ shipped for the harness, it is a non-vanos.

Nobody wants to even make an offer? I am quite surprised.

What map did you use to port the head? How do you know it will make power? Not trying to shit on a fellow ATLien's thread, but If you over do these 885 heads, they end up losing power.
                  Yours truly,

If you overdo any head you'll lose power. And I have no idea how it will effect your set-up, not a magician. The ports where gasket Matched to factory gaskets, then bowls opened up and cleaned out, then the inlet and the bowl were brought together and made even. An N/A 2.7l, 11:1 c/r, 272 cam and ITBs, that was the idea of the engine. If it's is a 2.7l, then you need the port work as you are now required to flow more then an 885 head allows for the 2.5l. No rocket science involved there. This is just a part, you make what you want out of it. There are 3.5" exhausts out there as well, but it's up to the buyer to figure out what it'll be suitable for.

People that are losing HP are putting higher flow, hogged out heads back onto 2.5L M20's that don't need it. The ported head should be part of a combo to make power. You can't bolt on a ported head to a stock engine and expect a gain. As the OP has stated, this will help maximize gains seen by anyone with a stroker, or other mods that would benefit from added flow.

                        QFT,

This head would be killer on a high comp stroker.
