Missed out on this one, but can you share the method to change over? Are all 5 series one touch? is a new harness needed?

the harness is different. any 5 or 7 after 91, before that they shared the e30 wiring. All you do is match the wiring. The extra wire is for a timer to the general module which the e30 does not have.
