I need to know what color you want and if you have premium or regular speakers.

Most, if not all OE units are black. It's not a reflector, but then it's not supposed to be a reflector. The shade absorbs everything so your interior doesn't have to. Like athletes putting black paint under their eyes to reduce glare. Same effect. The shade is likely not very thick, so there isn't much thermal mass to act as a heat sink inside your car. I wouldn't worry about it in terms of reflecting, the main benefit is blocking/absorbing.

In my quest to find an easier route to secure the shade in the open position, I've not been able to find anything that looks better than the stock pieces.
                      They are sleak and thin.
They do require cutting a retangular hole in the headliner.
You will need to cut at 30mm x 13mm rectangle that will have to be 3mm deep to recess the bracket.
I simply made a u-shaped clip that worked just fine, but in no way looks as sweet as the factory piece.
Look back at the shade I have installed in my e28 and you will see the clips that I made.
There is no argueing that the factory pieces are sweet, but my u-clip, while not even close, reqiures you to drill just one hole.
I can also get the u-clip in white plastic which may blend into the headliner a little better.
If you are up to it let me know as I have to special order the factory pieces and will add $10 to the pirce.

OK, so I have some pictures of the decks mounted in an e30.
The black one has the 3rd brake light above, and the tan one has the 3rd brake light below the deck.
I've found a hook that I'm going to try out tomorrow.
I, of course, was not able to drill holes in my friend's sister's headliner to test the hooks, so I will test them on my e28 and take pictures.
Also, decks with standard speakers can be modified to take premium speakers.
I will modify and color to order.
Its nice that you can still see thru the unit with it up.

This is the e32 unit I just installed in my e28.
I tested the unit and it won't fit in an e30, it took major mods to fit into my e28.
Althought the unit was orginally electric, none of those components would fit without making a completely new deck, which may happen.......
Its just cool that the arms hold the shade up.
But this is still a work in progress, while the e30 decks are ready to go.

Here are some pictures of the hooks. I had to use my car as it was not cool to drill holes in my friend's headliner.
The hooks that I will provide are the same as these, but 1/2 the size.
This shade, while the same make, is longer and won't fit the e30 deck, I tried.

The ends of the shade slide into the hook.
You will keep one hook straight while the other, probably the dirver's side, will rotate to allow you to get the other end of the shade into place.
This was the easiest way to do it without adding cost and cutting up the headliner to fit the OEM brackets.
All you need to do is measure and drill one hole on each side.
Its up to you how far forward you put the holes, they may need to be further forward then mine to make the shade parallel to the window.
I used the holes that were already there and didn't want to add any more.....

If you are ready I am.
Just let me know if your 3rd brake light is above or below the deck and what color you want.
Drop me a pm with that and payment info.
                                Thanks
