if you o-ringed the block you would not use the MLS gasket. Any pics?

Who says so? Have you had a bad experience doing so?

The purpose of the o-rings is to have them filled with copper or steel(?) wire, so when you slap the head, which is aluminum, it will compress/indent your stock/copper gasket. Creating a tight seal.

How the hell are you going to compress a .14 thick multiple layer steel head gasket into that? It's usually one or the other. MLS or o-ring.

How would metal o-rings make a grove in metal MLS gasket?
They only do it properly with a stock head gasket. Ask blueapplesoda

The copper wire filled o-rings on the block will not groove into the multi-steel-layered head gasket. Just think about it. It'll be like slip-n-slide under heavy load.

Are you the one who put the motor together, or it's just parts laying around?
Are the copper wires in the grooves of the o-ring block yet? Eye-ball it and it will make sense.
