It might help your sale if you let everyone know that this will fit an E30, since this is an E30 board. I think some people forget that pretty much all BMW shifters are interchangeable. Not to mention the throw is shorter than the E30 UUC SSK and the rod is bent to keep the knob in the proper orientation. This is pretty much the best shifter you could put in an E30. I can't wait to get back from this deployment and install mine along with my E39 M5 DSSR and start rifling through the gears of my E30 again

But one important detail... yes, any BMW shifter can be installed in any other BMW (1972-1985 models, and 1986+ are the two different installation types), but that does not mean they will work correctly. There are significant geometry differences which will result in changes in shifter position in the console, height, effort, and reduction. You want the correct model for your car, always.

The particular shifter posted in this thread only fits the model the seller has listed, or fits E30s that have the M50x/S5x swap using the E36 ZF gearbox only.
