OEM BMW E30 Radar detector *rare?* $25

    not mine...I think it's pretty vintage/cool.

but for $25 and apparently still works, how badass is this thing?

(not buying it, as I allready got one...never seen anyone with it)

There should be another box, the brainswhat you see there is the in car remote and the actual radar detectori think there is a third box which communicates between them...

Cool piece. Some departments still use guns this would pick up.

There is the brain up front and the remote. My old 86 es has one in it, still works.

              I'd rather buy a V1.

Got pictures of the wiring? I recall not all the wires being accounted for between the two units making me believe there is a third box.

Yeah, pretty cool, but it probably sets off every RDD within a 10mi radius.

it's about as effective as a euro clock.
mostly broken, but cool to have as it's not very common on N/A spec cars.

                    and for $25...hell that's R3V $ budget territory.

I don't suppose the E30 one has a Radar detector detector detector circuit to avoid the pesky VG2.

(That's just so much fun to say out loud, I couldn't resist)

                            Thank you.

And ya, most likely these won't do much good for ya. With all the handheld units mostly likely being LIDAR, your X, K, Ka band stuff is old equipment. Still around. Maybe in a smaller department or personally owned radar unit. It is more nostalgia. And I like the unique options.

The rare parts thread is really interesting to shop.

I already sent payment for it as of 2:00CST (12:30PST). Hence why I added the link to my post on this thread.
