CA 91502 - Ground Control Tall Rear Shock Mounts - 155 shipped

Used for a couple of months, practically brand new. The inserts are for larger koni shocks (top adjustable from e36 m3) that I had on my e30.

    (Picture from website)

No scratches and still practically brand new. Paid 178 shipped.

Price 145 for local pick ups.

    Pm for details. Thanks.

Thanks Matt. Yes I sold my car. I had two sets of Ground Control Rear Shock Mounts. Regular and Tall. Sold my car with the regular street gc ones.

The taller mounts allow more travel for those who are slammed and do not have much suspension travel with their shocks fully depressed (which do the shock more harm than good).

            Just a note...

The tall mounts DO NOT ADD TRAVEL.

They are designed to reduce droop so the springs are captured when the car is jacked up, or when running no rear bar.

Well the whole idea for my reasoning behind my logic is because I used e36 m3 which are about 2.3 inches (I forget but just speaking from the top of my head) longer than the e30s. So at full squat it would actually damage the shock as its bottoming it out. I guess it doesn't add travel as travel is dictated based on the shock housing and shaft length together. Not individually. Thanks for the correction.

They do more than just this. They allow the piston in the shock to not be at the bottom of the stroke, on a very low car the piston is near the bottom of the travel and when you hit a bump the shock bottoms out. These move the piston up off the bottom so you don't damage your shocks by bottoming out repeatedly. Socks are also designed to work in a specific range, when you dump a car it takes them out of their designed range.

You do have a point. However, bumpstops should ALWAYS be used to protect the damper.
