    Feeler: 1991 318is

I'm running out of funds for this car, and when I look towards the future, I'd rather be driving something more comfortable and convenient.

This is only to see if anyone has the money/interest to buy the car, if I were to sell, it would be in the next couple months.

Bent valve is going to be fixed in the near future. New vanos. Valence, IS lip, and fender will be repaired and resprayed to look pretty again. Needs a new rack and column (because airbags suck). Needs some new front seats and a steering wheel. Needs some new bushings.

If I do sell, I won't be selling to anyone who has the money, I want the car to go to someone that will complete what I had envisioned for it (Z3 rack and column, black cloth M3 rear seat, black cloth sport seats, grey carpet, IS side skirts...thats seriously all this car needs).

I'm currently looking at e34's, preferably a 540i, but Mtriple's car is so tempting.

Here's a link to the mod list, its not complete, but thats most of it (euro trim isn't in the pictures, but I will have it soon).

    Looking for $9,250-$10,000

:Time to consider my options; guys, keep talking me out of this idea:

You best be keeping that, or I will personally come to your house and hit you for free.

I'm in the same sort of mood right now. I really want to dump the E30, but I know in the end I'm going to be effing pissed I got rid of it. Just garage it for a while, and find something else to drive.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

Good luck with the sale. I'm sure you'll miss it someday though.

But I hear what you're saying about the comfortable/convenient thing. I see great condition '95 540iA's go for $6K at least once a week around here, even in the land of abused cancerous cars. 6spd seems to be 2-2.5X more though, unfortunately.

I love E34s, and if it weren't for a seller backing out over 2 years ago I'd be driving a 535i and never would have gotten into E30s. Based on gas prices and how friggin clean it is, right now I'd take Mtriple's 525i over any 535/540s...

Good luck with whatever route you end up taking.

              don't sell it!

It's just a phase. I went through the same - it's irritating when you don't have cash in your pocket to waste on mods. I was ready to sell it, even had an ad in autotrader up.... but never sold it.

I love my e34 but it doesn't compare to the fun of driving the e30. Plus if you are running out of funds on the e30 you won't be able to afford an e34, everything is more expensive and 3 times harder to fix.

Well, rack and column aren't needed, but you'd want to swap em anyways because they're airbag stuff and have no feel.

Stop hating Uncle (that's just always how I pronounce your name in my head).

                          Sorry Jeremy.
Perhaps it was a bit harsh... I just feel $9k+ is excessive for a non-S5x car that needs to have the head removed for a valve job.

I look at it from the financial point of having the whole head redone, not just the single bent valve. So my view is skewed.

$5.5k is not an acceptable offer.
Bump for a potentially great car.

I apologized for my initial comments Matt. I was simply explaining why I made the comments I did, obviously it was a misunderstanding on my part.
I don't know what else you really want me to do???

                              Thank you for clarifying though.
