                                                    these stiffen up the mounting area and reduce flexing?
                                                    they go between the mount and the body?
                                                    the stock bolts are long enough?

                                                        Yes,the stiffen up the rear shock mountingg area to reduce flexing with leads to cracking. These mount on top on the shock tower,inside your truck and there is plenty of room for the stock bolts.
