FS: 4.10 Open Large Case Diff

What we have today is a 4.10 Large case diff for sale.

Overall condition is good, little dirty, but can easily be cleaned. No sign of leakage around the rear cover gasket or the side seals.

Already have an open diff and just want better acceleration, then this will make a nice upgrade for your 325i (or you E guys if your insane and hate the freeway)

Fluid inside the unit appears clean, and everything turns as it should.

Looking for 100 OBO For Local pickup, or I will ship it.. Keep in mind it is very heavy, so shipping will cost a bit.

My Zip is 98407 for you shipping guys.

For everyone's info, I just shipped a 3.73 diff from Indiana to New Jersey and it cost $80.01 and weighed 104 pounds after packaging. The diff was wrapped in some bubble wrap and put in a small cardboard box. Box was stuffed with newspaper. The small box was then put in a larger box and stuffed with newspaper. Count on spending around $70-$90 to ship it. James, if you dont want this post in the thread have it deleted. Just letting people know what to expect with shipping costs.

          FWIW,
That is a medium case diff.
Common misconception. E30's and E28's got medium case diff's.
          318's got the small case.

Also, FWIW, to save on weight when shipping, drain the fluid!!!!
          Below the radar...

Chris, won't fluid leak out anyways if the diff is flipped upside down (isnt there some port on top?) Could be wrong.

My diff had ZERO fluid in it. Definitely ship without the fluid. Concerned about weight or not. Doesnt matter HOW the diff is flipped, it will get flipped a billion times during shipping. Plain and simple - dont ship with fluid in it.

                yup.
then you get a soggy box that falls apart, and an angry shipping company who refuses to ship due to "haz-mat" issues.

Your spot on, that is what UPS and Fedex averaged.

Unsure of milage, little bit of play on the input shaft (not shaft play itself, but gear play)

shipping is around 80 bucks it looks, considering how I gotta pack it.

I fix that for a minor charge. :)
