FS: Almost NEW Hawk HP+ Brake Pads

Had these installed on my 87 325is last week and I can't stand the squealing. The pads are absolutely phenomenal, however it's my daily driver and sitting in LA traffic is no fun, let alone with squealing pads. They cost $200 + shipping new, and they're still new lol, less than 500 miles. I'll sell them shipped for $170, picked up in Los Angeles for $150.

I thought HP+ are only for track use only? Could be why there's a noise.

They're basically track/street pads with a big emphasis on the track side. They are very aggressive and perform amazingly well. Just too loud for my liking on the street.

      PRICE DROP: $150 Shipped

These are NEW people, seriously save some money and pick these up!!

yes the idea behind these is that you CAN drive them to the track and home if you don't like doing pad changes at the track.

Wrong. They are the ultimate street/autox pad (I've gone through four sets of them), but THEY SHOULD NEVER BE USED ON TRACK due to their fade characteristics. Friction falls off a cliff when they are overheated, so you get little to no warning that you are overdriving your brakes. Worse yet, since they have stopping power of all up track pads, it's even easier to critically overheat them than most others.

                Straight from the horses mouth:
Hawk Performance’s HP Plus brake pad compound is ideal for Autocross and Track Day drivers looking for a high performance race compound that can take the heat of the track and get you home safely without having to change the pads.

I loved the HP+ on my street car for track days, didn't have any fade issues. Squealed like hell though. Have you tried some CRG?

Just because they say it doesn't make it true. Even Zeckhausen Racing says it's not a good idea.

The problem is that they go from 100% to 0% with next to no warning. Slow drivers with good braking technique will be fine on the HP+, but noob drivers with bad technique, or people who are fairly fast will often run into issues. Street pads will have more fade than the HP+, but they will warn you when you're running out of pad.

Just playing devil's advocate. I know firsthand what street pad fade feels like now.
