FS: e30 Skid Plate

Hi guys. I was wondering if someone would be interested in BMW e30 Skid Plates? I can make them for you. I have sold many of them trough Estonian e30 community website and had good feedback. Skid Plate I`m offering is made from strong aluminum and therefore almost half the weight of its nearest competitor, but still maintaining the same strength. I work in one of the Estonian biggest steel manufacturing companies and therefore had a good access to engineering and other steel know-how resources. As an e30 owner, hobby racer and as I had many broken oil pans due to bumpy roads, I decided to use the available resource and develop a skid plate that is light weight and strong. The material I use is very strong 5 mm thick and seawater resistant aluminum. The design is meant to take heavy impacts (I was consulting to engineers in our company) and provide the best protection.. Its weight is only 4,2 kg. The price is 90€ (including shipping anywhere by post). I understand the issue that you may not trust me and therefore I can also sell them through ebay where you can have a buyers protection. 14 days return policy is also possible if you don`t like the product or if it does not fit. I will provide full refund in this case after item is returned (except shipping cost).
This Skid Plate will fit almost all e30 models except 325 ix. Please also note that it does not have a hole for oil changing. I preferred this because any hole would weaken the structure and removing the plate would not add much time to oil changing procedure. Also hole would gather dust and dirt on top of it.

What exactly means "pretty hard" for you? :) What kind of skid plate are currently using? What is its thickness, what material and how does it fix on your car?

I`m very confident about this aluminum which I use. It can withstand pretty heavy impacts as I have experienced it by myself. Here in Estonia we have pretty bumpy roads and if you lower your suspension, it is impossible to drive your e30 without breaking your sump at higher speeds. I also drive lots on gravel here, where I have been hitting rocks at high speed, but nothing has happened this far. My friends drive rally cross (both, in winter and summer time) and are using this plate. I have not heard any complaints from them also.

As for material strength, its tensile strength is 225 N/mm2 and yield point 164 N/mm2 according to certificate. Considering that, this skid plate has more strength than one made from 3 mm thick carbon steel.

Answers to other questions:
Price is in euro and includes shipping.
It will fit all e30 with m20, m40 and m42, except 325ix.
Clearance between the pan and plate can varie depending from engine type and also from how old are your engine dampers. On the car which was used for prototype (318is) it was less than 2 cm. Next batch I make, will have less clearance.

On this Skid Plate rear end will be fixed under the same bolts as steering rack and for the front end you only have to drill 4 holes into radiator support, using existing holes in skid plate as a template.
I have personally installed this plate on 4 cars and there were problem only with one. I guess this was because the body was old and maybe little stretched. 3 others were fitted almost perfectly.
To leave an option for adjusting, the front end of the skid plate is made with slight over bend. So, after you have fixed rear end under the steering rack bolts, you can push the plate from the bottom with jack until you are satisfied with leveling and the holes are in a right place and then drill.
I will be making next batch also with some additional oval holes and equip buyers also with locking washers. Then everyone has an option to fix the front end as they think is best.

Idk, aluminum isnt very strong compared to my old peerless skid plate, I'd like reviews etc
