That page is a comparison to an open differential. I'm curious of the advantages over our stock LSD units. Is it just "better", or are there specific advantages?

Call me a noob, but I have never experienced any problems or lack of performance from any of the (3) LS diffs that I've had in my car. Anyone care to give a short explanation as to how this one is better than the factory unit?

The stock e30 (not counting iX) OEM diffs are usually all worn out by now due to mileage, they have 2 clutch disks inside. The best way to experience it is to put some sticky tires on the car and try to come out of a corner with some power.... I had terrible wheel spin on one side (lost time as well, lack of traction) until I got a new diff custom build for me with 4 new oem bmw disks. Automatically improved traction and times.

Maybe I missed it, but why did you decide against using it?

While researching Quaife diffs, there are people who praise them and others who are against them. I'm just wondering what your impression was.
