Just an FYI for the front speakers, I just bought 6.5" speakers up front for my 86 325e, and they fit without ANY troubles. All I needed was a small plastic adapter that mounted into the 5.25" hole, and had it's own holes for 6.5". Included with the polks I bought. Even has room left for the hood release without scraping the speaker.
