I believe the difference is in the moldings only..lower rust but it will sand off..its just from the fender sitting.

the molding are the same. the fenders are DIFFERENT! the heel on the vert fender extends lower down due to the reinforced rockers on the convertible.
if you don't believe me get them and try fitting them yourself. lol

Well there we go...vert only for sure on the drivers fender.
