We've had more than a few scams on this forum in the past few months, hence the skeptics...and if the seller has moved the money already and has nothing in the account/card they have their paypal against, paypal can only recover a certain amount. That was at least before I had buyer protection, I'd assume my recovery number is higher now.

exactly. It takes 7-10 days for the cheap DHL shipping from Germany to stateside. You paypal the cash, then the scammer spends your money or withdrawals it to a ghost bank account. 10 days later the package doesn't arrive, you contact paypal to get your money back and paypal just says "sorry, he doesn't have any money in his account, but we'll try really hard for you to get it back."

Some A-hole in the UK still has 200GBP of mine for an E34 M5 exhaust.

I have sold about 4 sets of smileys on/through R3V from the UK and as far as I am aware nobody has left me feedback despite all parties confirming they received my well wrapped parcels. I have a low post count but I am as honest as the day is long, if you guys don't help each other how can you trust anyone?

I have also sent a full tech2 kit to the US, Alpina and Mtech steering wheels, shipping prices can be had cheap from the UK via the likes of interparcel.com.

I have more stuff to sell yet, some nice parts indeed but do I just use ebay?

I'm with the OP, you get your money back through paypal, if you send as a gift that is your own fault.

Sorry to hijack the thread, scammers ruin it for us all and I f**king hate thieves.

Now I am off to watch some Mary Poppins and eat my fish 'n' chips :)
