NOT decked too much! There are depth marks on the bottom of the head that let the machinist know of tolerances, (besides also looking it up). If ANY of the depth marks are reached that is as far as you go! ALL of my depth marks are visible, NONE of them have been reached. Besides, put together an engine like this, any one would be silly not to clay it and double check clearances! As for the poor guy who grenaded his baby, it would have beaten itself to death in seconds if valves where smacking. Not days. Something moved or changed.
