This ad is just a feeler but im curious... If I was to put my engine up for sale and asking $4,500 is it anything anyone would be interested in? Do you feel it's a fair asking price? Here's the specs...
It's a 2.9 ltr M20
It has a set of metric mechanics custom pistons
325i head with all new internals, ie. Springs, valves, rocker arms, eccentrics, three angle valve job and a reground 325i cam to 288 deg schrick cam profile.
the block was a 2.7 bored to accomidate the MM 2.9 pistons. It has a 524td crank, 325i rods, new wrist pins, oil pick up, aluminum motor mounts, euro 323i distributor (side block mounted), original 325i distributor delete covers off of a 323i. All has been painted, polished or powder coated. It is set up right now to run the three weber 40 IDF downdraft carbs that are brand new and never had a drop of gas run through them ($2,500 set up alone). I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but you get the idea.. any questions feel free to ask.
