Parting Out: 1991 318i...

one question...why are you parting this out? is there something wrong with the car thats making you part it out?..

im takin the engine out and putting it in my 318is. i bought the 4door just for the motor. not selling the fenders anymore. im not allowed to have a car on the street without body panels as i have found out recently. $100 ticket/day doesnt sound nice to me.

what does that "recaro" stamp on the seatframe mean?

Interesting, in all the sport seats I've seen, I've never seen a set that said Recaro anywhere on them. I know that the E21 sport seats were made by Recaro, but I was under the impression that the E30 ones weren't. I guess I could be wrong. :D

umm..i dont know if i can do that. you would be takin my key just to sell a lil trunk lock...or i would have to go get another key made...hmm...lemme get back to u on that.

A decent lock shop can do an E30 key for ~$3. ilco blanks.

well from what i've heard the e30 m3's are recaro's and the other e30's are copies.

that would make sense. they are different seats. the e30 m3 ones have huge bolsters and are padded very well. as opposed to the "is" model seats which are smaller bolsters and dont feel as nice...

do you happen to know how much the centercaps for those basketweaves would run? I saw Joe318is's write-up on painting the basketweaves and now I'm all over the idea of doing it. Just gotta find myself a cheap set of the wheels!

the whole center cap assembly for the weaves? or just the center emblem?
