Unfortunately, I must say goodbye to my 1992 535i (E34).

I bought the car at 217K in 2009 and have put 45K on it.
I replaced the transmission immediately, as the original wouldn't shift into 3rd or 4th and popped out of reverse when warm.
3.46 open diff
EVERYTHING WORKED; seats, mirrors, windows, sunroof, HVAC, OBC, instrument cluster, radio (never tried the tape player), windshield wipers & washer, etc. It would occasionally light the EML fault light, which can be fixed by restarting.
Seat twist fix has been done.
The engine is original. I skimmed the head .007 and installed ARP's, .051 Cometic and new Febi cam/rockers from BMA in March. Compression ratio should be about 9.2, up 0.2 from skimming the head and thinner head gasket. As I buttoned it up from the gasket/stud installation, I installed new intake gaskets, new thermostat housing gasket, new upper timing cover gaskets and a new valve cover gasket. I used moly cam assembly lube and observed a 20 minute cam break-in. I retorqued the studs after the first week.
The bores measured on spec and original cross-hatching was visible.
I also have the E28 rear coolant fitting for the cylinder head.
Transmission shifts great. The clutch that's in it is the clutch that was in it when I bought the car. I also have the single mass flywheel (not installed) from a 1978 530i.
I'm thinking $2000 as a package deal for the engine and transmission. That would include manifolds, waterpump, alternator, throttle, wiring harness, DME, EML module, current flywheel+clutch, spare single mass flywheel, wiring harness, DME and transmission. I don't feel like opening the PS or AC systems, but if the buyer wants, I'll throw in the PS pump or AC compressor.
I'll keep the pedal sensor, as I need that for another project.
I was in the process of converting from the 3.46 188mm to a 2.81 210mm in preparation for turbo build. The rear suspension pictured below is a *SPARE* rear suspension purchased in pursuit of that goal. The axles are 540i/6 axles. The driveshaft is a 540i unit and the diff is a 2.81 210mm *OPEN*. I paid $80/side for the control arm assemblies and $80 for the whole subframe.
It has Bilstein HD rear shocks as long as I've owned it. I have not opened the front struts to see what they are, but they feel similar driving the car.
The front links are *NEW* and never installed. The TA's are Lemfoerder and have M5 TAB's installed. The CAB's were removed from the CA's so that I could install spherical bearings, but I didn't finish producing that hardware before the car was wrecked. If the buyer's interested, I can finish the spherical bearing conversion, or reinstall the bushings that came in the control arms. I'd like $100 each for the TA's and $50 each for the CA's as-is or $300 for the pair with spherical bearings.
If you see anything you like, make a reasonable offer.
I'm more concerned about my time than about getting the most dollars for any particular part.
Remember that the time it takes me to pull a part for you is time I don't get to spend on another project... think major assemblies and not "the upper left screw that holds the evaporator into the IHKR housing".
Buyer pays actual shipping in addition to offer price. I use my dad's employer's UPS account, so shipping charges are reasonable. We can also get good prices on truck freight. Local pickup is always more convenient.
