885 rebuilt welded head SOLD SOLD

Up for sale off my current turbo m20 is the 885 head. 1200 miles on the whole rebuild top and bottom. Reason I'm selling it is because I got a great deal on a fully built m20 from my tuner. You can check out my build thread I currently made 380whp with this setup. I have a dyno sheet and video also.

885 BMW head
Welded water channels
New stock cam
3 angle valve job
New valve seats/guides
New cam seal/oring
Head was shaved cause of the welded channels .015

I'm asking $500+shipping...I'm trying to move this quick so I priced it low.

They can be fully welded if you wanted and then just drill out the holes for the coolant to pass through. That just a little tricky because the holes have to be perfectly drilled out.

I only welded the centers because I didn't want to deal with drilling the holes and missing and not having coolant pass from head to block.

Yes sir...fully assembled head still on my car...haven't taking it off the block yet.

What is the point of welding the passages?

1. the m20 head tends to expand in that area because of heat, that expansion causes cracks in you're head to occur.

2. It causes your head gasket to tear because of the expansion and contraction of the metal and uneven surface.

so by welding it one you make the structural integrity of the head better two you prolong head gasket life and three create a flatter more consistent sealing surface.
