Yes, you can. UPS has freight services, will do residential and lift gate pick up and delivery. Putting it on a pallet is the best idea. I just shipped an engine a few weeks ago with them.

I would estimate anywhere from 4-5k including cost for gaskets. If your e30 is in good shape, a swap would totally be worth it.
