Sorry. Yes it is from an e34 with a ZF transmission. It is a much shorter throw when put on an e30. Or most getrag transmissions for that matter

If you look at the picture you can see the increased distance from the ball to the bottom mounting point is longer than a e30 shifter and thus reduces the pea gut of the throws

i know, i though he meant it was a short shifter for an e34. e30 stock shifter are mounted next to its nut.
