Ya, I really do not want to deal with shipping, unless the buyer is willing to pay to have it packed and shipped through UPS, which will probably cost a lot. Sorry Tom

It is much much better to ship DHL (much much cheaper on large things and they don't murder packages). They can be shipped under $75 (don't know exactly -- seller paid for mine) if packaged properly through DHL. The back and bottoms can be seperated and both seats can be fitted in one wardrobe box from U-Haul. Just letting you know that it's not terribly hard to ship them, but you should still get plenty of takers in So-Cal.

Not exactly true. DHL charges pretty much the same for big stuff, maybe a couple of dollars less, but they all seem to average about the same. They all (Fedex, UPS, DHL) use pretty much the same formula for calculating "dimensional weight" on large/bulky packages. Don't believe me?? Check the rates for each company and see.

Also, I don't think it's safe to say that DHL won't damage your package. They all have a certain level of damaged shipments, and I can tell you from experience that DHL, in general, handles each package more times than Fedex or UPS on the same route. What I mean is that DHL does not seem to be as efficient and automated as the other guys. YMMV.

                  Bret.

ps- ever wonder what happened to Airborne Express?? They are the "NEW" DHL, for the most part.........

well... Calculuate a shipment comparing the deminsions and weight of an e30 rear subframe (shipping one in about a week). DHL was $40 cheaper than both UPS and Fedex. So, yeah, I have found that to not be the case.

Hence why I don't plan to ship them, your story is the main reason :)

If i tried to drive my e30 to LA, I wouldnt have a car to put the seats in when i got there. She isnt ready for that kinda distance yet.
