24v swap BBTB, adapter plate, MAF

For sale: 3.5" throttle body & CNC machined adapter plate & 3.5" MAF.

TB and MAF are from a 540......adapter plate is custom made. (3" diameter opening, plate is 3/8" thick)

    $350 plus shipping

The 3.5" TB/MAF setup......along with a CAI, cams, injectors, and chip......and you are well on your way to BIG SMILES.

I have several of these available.

NOTE: Once you bolt the plate itself to your existing intake manifold it acts as a jig to allow you to easily and accurately dremel the existing 2.75" diameter opening out to a full 3".

Attached for shits & giggles is a Dyno sheet of the Dakar S50 in the video below. Car has CAI, injectors, headers, Turner chip......as well as the 3.5" MAF/TB setup. Stock S50 is about 200 to 210 WHP if I remember correctly.

And what intake elbow would be used to connect from the 540 TB to the MAF??

Pics coming. Samco makes a nice silicone 3.5" to 3.5" 90 degree.

Pic posted of TB/adapter/MAF installed in a buddy of mine's car. I am in the process of dropping a S50 into an E30 track car and will be going this route as well. Besides more airflow the sound is frickin' awesome!

                      Interesting...

How did your buddy connect the 2 ports for the ICV and PCV on the underside of the intake boot?

The boots sold by Bimmerworld/Mishimoto have them molded in

He has been running this set-up for a LONG time......before these boots were available. His is a '95 so he only cut one hole for the ICV and epoxied in a 90 degree elbow he cut off an OEM intake boot. He jumped the coolant lines together.....the ones that went to the TB. Pretty simple.....but the boots now available make everything a whole lot simpler. ;)

Jumping the TB coolant is a separate issue - if he's only running one port then he must have his crankcase vent running to a catch can or something.

I don't think the bimmerworld/mishimoto boots will stretch enough to fit over the 540 TB. The stock E36 TB is 64mm IIRC, if the 540 TB is 75mm so I doubt the nice silicone boot with the ports will work.

This still looks like a great product as Bimmerworld sells something similar for silly money. Not sure if they use a 540 TB though...

Just thinking out loud mostly about what intake elbow would work and not create vacuum leaks with something cobbled together.

How much for shipping to Canada for just the adapter plate? PM me if you like.
