When the last time you've checked or replaced your motor mounts? Bad mounts will swuish leaving not enough room between the pan and the plate. Same thing goes for race skids plate... Most issues I've seen is due to people not changing there mounts and then blaming the plate. My Raceskids plate has saved my ass more times then I could count.

I've also seen reds plate and it is nearly the same.

I'm so over these posts. You have to realize these things are SKID PLATES. Not BASH PLATES.
If you understand basic physics you'll realize there is nothing that is going to save you when you hit something at considerable force. The energy of the hit HAS to go somewhere.
I've bent my plate many times to the point where it wasn't doing much good anymore.
I've also hair line cracked it twice through a skid plate, and imploded it from a catching air on the freeway.
All these incidents would of resulted in a completely destroyed pan, broken oil pump, and who knows what from the time on the freeway. Instead, I was able to get it welded. To say they are worthless is.. ignorant.

Thanks for all the support guys! Even from people that don't have my skidplate!
ak said it best, it's a skidplate......that's it! It doesn't make your oil pan invincible! As long as you realize that you'll be fine. If you expect more than that you need to look elsewhere and be prepared to spend 2-3 times more money and you better be good with a welder!
          Check out this post

Saved his oil pan, oil pump.........
As for IsleRaftery.....post some pics! You either have crapped out motor mounts, you were beating the crap out of it (showing off to your friends?) or both. Not sure what to tell you.

            ^ Perfect.

If he was driving a little more to the right, he would of bumped the pan and maybe hairline cracked it, or nothing at all.
If he didn't have it, he would of blown through the pan, oil pump, and maybe even the steering rack and/or bent his subframe.

I'll be buying a plate from you guys as soon as my car is road worthy again.
My raceskids has been way too abused for use on the 3 years of driving it's been through, and I want to try something from the new guys putting e30 products on the market.

Just wanted to add to the debate. This is a great product and has saved my pan more times than i can count. It finally bent slightly after I encountered a trench in a road work zone that was unavoidable. Damage could have been far worse without the protector. Keep up the great work!

Yes they are on my website. But international shipping is almost always cheaper and easier through eBay

Or PM me your shipping info and I'll get you a quote.

Great piece. I feel this skid plate also stiffens the front structure a whole bunch as its a stout item. Tying the rad support to the subframe solidly makes the car transition a bit quicker IMO.

After sifting through 45 pages of discussion, I'm sold. I've been lowered for almost 12 years and only cracked one pan but after the winter we had, the roads are terrible and I do not want to do another oilpa(i)n! I'll be placing an order this evening!

45 pages is a lot of reading! I guess I would read it on the crapper!

On a serious note.... Swapping pans is really a nuisance. This will protect you in all but the most extreme situations.
