I just received mine today. One word - holymotherofmercy! This thimg is sweet! My car is a fully built track car so adding weight is a big sin but I can't wait to get the skid plate installed this weekend. This is a VERY high quality item and if installation is as easy as others stated in this thread, it's also a bargain. Thanks!

About a 30mph hit on a bump that was nearly 2" (with 1" ground clearance) directly onto the plate. Plate flexed up and hit the pan. Nearly bounced me off the seat. But I just swapped the lower pan and was good in a couple days. I also went up half an inch.

I want to add some gussets to the edge of the plate where the bend is made to see if that will sturdy things up a bit.

Interested in this. Mine also happened at night, what a pain in the ass, although in all fairness if it was light out I probably wouldn't have hit that bump.

You were very low, I cant say that I'm surprised. It's a good thing you raised the front a little. Even 1/2" will make a difference. I guarantee the damage would have been substantially worse with no protection.

A gusset would would def strengthen that bend. I've had plans for something similar bouncing around in my brain for a while now...... maybe when I get back from the E30 Picnic I'll play around with it.
