I installed my skidplate last weekend and I can count about 4 times already that the plate has saved my 24v oil pan. Maybe I need to raise my car a little bit. lol

Just some testimony here. We are using a custom Red46 skid on our stage rally car and during the Wellsboro Winter Rally last month we took on a bowling-ball-sized rock at 60mph and the Red46 skid took the punishment and saved our oil pan (and possibly some other stuff). Really, the skid took a few hundred fairly hard hits (as it was a very rocky course) and came out of it with just one dent from the really big rock, which we managed to pound out with a sledgehammer.
Our skid is the same material and thickness as what he sells here (but ours is wider and goes back over the transmission as well), so you can rest assured the Red46 skids you buy here will hold up to anything you'll hit on the street or even rallycross. We used the original Red46 skid for 3 seasons of rallycross before upgrading to this bigger one!
