It's really not that bad. Find a carrier that does LTL (Less than Truckload). Drain the fluids, strap it to a pallet and go! My S50 was shipped from Illinois to Arizona for $200.

OK I just tried to get another freight quote with YRC and it seems quite steep to me.
1250.oo from Florida to California. ANother place quoted about 800 for similar distance.
Someone posted that they have shipped for around 200 to 300 dollars. Am I doing something wrong? I quoted 550lbs on a pallet of class 85 material. I can put this outside but it will ship from my house so liftgate needed. Anyone else have suggestions?

The liftgate charges are always high. See if you can ship from business to business, that'll bring down the cost.

Bump with mega update. Got a decent quote from enginesdirectfreight.com for someone in CA. Price was 350ish w/liftgate on both ends & ins. Now that this is figured out I hope to get this done quick.
