Yeah agree with you but I don't have a chassis for it. It would end up in dreaded E36. I'm not ready to pull S14's yet.

The S54 has the same transmission bolt pattern as an M50 engine. I'm using a ZF320, but there's no reason you can't use other traditional M50 swap transmissions. The driveshaft choice also remains the same--meaning, if you use an E36 transmission, you should use a matching E36 driveshaft, if you have an E30 transmission, E30 driveshaft.
