The bottom of the ends of the pipes do have scratches from loading car into a moving van (went up the incline loading ramps of the truck). Scratches can't be seen when installed on the car. The black spots toward the front of the system are from a melted plastic bag while on the road. This happened about a year ago and is cooked on (I didn't feel it was worth it to remove what is left). Unit is clean, looks good, and has been in SoCal all it's life.
