M50 NV OBD1 Running motor and good 5 SPD

Hey gang, I'm about to swap in an S52 and would like to find a home for this good, solid M50NV. It has 122k on it and is still a very strong little motor, perfect for an E30 swap.

    Details:
    M50 Non Vanos
    OBD1
    Long tube headers
    rebuilt and balanced injectors
Bav auto high performance coil packs
Re-sealed block 4K ago, no leaks
Light weight flywheel and stage 2 clutch
402 DME with TMS chip and wiring harness
    Fan delete
Complete and running, still in car
    as stated = $750 + shipping

    Getrag 5spd
    shifts smooth
    short shift Z shifter installed
    as is = $250 + shipping

combo deal motor and trans = $850 + shipping

Pics shown are from 2yrs ago when installed, the shot in the paddock is from this past Nov at Hallet. Yes its strong enough to hit the track, drove it to the track, ran all day, drove it home, very solid motor and trans. Not a track car, not a daily driver, just a good fun toy.

any questions just ask. I'm not frequent on REV but have been on BFC for years. I can get a couple guys to give me a reference from here...

Oh yeah, and this pic of the motor was taken with the stock exhaust mani on, it will come with SS long tube headers.

Checking in! I used to live in OKC and happen up to Tulsa for Caffeine and Gasoline. OP is a trustworthy guy who doesn't have anything to hide. I would be very comfortable purchasing anything from him!

    Good luck with the sale!

Thank you Vandy! Hope you are doing well up north!

The motor and trans are still in the E36 right now, in fact I drove it to work this morning.
The $850 (+shipping) package price is DME, wiring harness, motor with header and trans. Everything to keep it running as it sits right now. I do not have any of the special items to make it fit the E30.

          would you consider 850 shipped?

I'll have to take something extra for shipping, we can work something out if you are serious.

I'm finding the cheapest truck frieght for 550lbs (198kg motor [ http://www.usautoparts.net/bmw/engines/m50.htm ] + some for trans) is $300 from dock with forklift to dock. If anyone knows of a better way to ship give me a link please! (that price quoted is from Tulsa to Washington for reference)

I'd be willing to meet anyone in the surrounding states part way to avoid shipping costs. (KS, TX, ARK, MO)

I bought a 92' E36 with an overheating issue. everything had been replaced by the PO and they had reciepts to show the work done to fix the overheating issue. They were fed up so I bought the car right.

I bought this engine and trans to swap instead of jacking around with the original problem motor. Converted the car to a stick and have been running happy ever since. I bought the motor with 115k on it 3 years ago. At that time I went through and sealed everything up short of pulling the head so it has a fresh gasket set within 6-7k miles. The block was cleaned up at that time to make it easier to watch for any issues (leaks), so far so good. This is not my daily, I really only use it for nice days back and forth to work (10 miles round trip) and club drives/track day (twice a year). It does not get a lot of use so the motor and trans have pretty much stayed spotless. Been using AMSOIL euro synthetic 5W-40 this summer.
My background, mechanical engineer, past BMWCCA VP, BMWMOFO club founder, Caffeine and Gasoline founder, the point is I'm a car guy and take care of my stuff and I'm always surrounded by other car peeps. And I'm 44, not a young whipper snapper that is learning by trial and error on his first car.

                Performance adders included:
                Long tube headers
                Bav Auto OBD1 coil packs
                Tuner chip tune
Lightweight flywheel, not the 12lb UUC but I think it was 17lb? No chatter but revs quicker
                UUC trans mounts and cups
                Short shift from a Z3M

OP is legit, and I have driven the vehicle this combo sits in. Good condition package.

                  Buy without fear!
