I have up for sale my Holset HX40. I bought it locally from a guy who had just had it rebuilt professionally at a deisel shop. It has maybe 2000 miles on it. GREAT condition, little to no shaft play.
I have both a 22cm^2 and 17cm^2 turbine housings for it.


Comparison of 17cm to 22cm turbine housing. Pretty decent spool with the 17cm housing, with my s52 I was seeing 9psi by 3800RPM, with boost coming on around 3000RPM in 3rd gear. Here is a video of a quick pull @9psi. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH3RqDQKfHI




How the HX40 looks with a top mount in my e36.



Pictures of the cartridge, in the interest of full disclosure the little bit of oil around the turbine wheel MAY necessitate a new rear seal. I had an issue with crankcase pressure that I believe was pushing oil past the turbine-side seal. I don't think it needs a rebuild, only POSSIBLY a new rear seal.
