Parted out my 1990 IX a couple months back. Have a few parts left like booster, axles (needing boots), control arms, rear driveshaft, front diff...
However, what I really wanna get rid of cuz they're taking up too much space is the front strut assemblies. Those of you with IX's in areas with snow probably know that the threads for the gland nut to hold the strut insert love to rust out. These ones are both fine. I took close up pics, and while a coat of POR-15 would serve them well for the future, the metal is solid on both of those.
They have VW mk2 golf strut inserts installed now for a stock like ride. They have 1 year of use on them, and ride great. Stock iX springs. Wheel bearings seem fine and made no noise but i can't really warranty them, likewise with the strut bearings and sway bar links. As for the ABS sensors my car's ABS didn't work and I never tried to track down the problem so I can't make any promises on those, but they're included. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to throw these in my car and use them as-is though.
Price $325 for the pair, all assembled. Shipping extra, or pickup in Boston, MA area. If you want just 1 side or just want the bare strut housing throw me an offer, but for now I'd prefer to sell complete.
