Looks like the end of the pipe is open at the very end where there is no weld (a gap). This sort of bothers me because if it isin't powdercoated inside the pipe that could rust from moisture and it also doesn't look as strong. But I don't see how you could weld that part anyway without "flattening" the very end of the pipe to get it close enough to weld, if you get what I mean.
Just an observation.
Also can we get a really upclose shot of the welds before they get powdercoated?
Vinnie30. The ends of the bars are open and the likelihood of these rusting out before your car will. Will never happen.
As for the weld. It's done with a mig welder. I'm not a pro. But I think I do pretty well and they're plenty strong.
I have made over 200 of these bars over the years and countless 24v swap trans braces among many more things that see a lot more stress than these bars will ever see.
BARS ARE NOW AT THE POWDER COATERS!!!!
Sent PMs to those who havent paid. If I dont get a reply by tomorrow I will move onto the next person in line. If I didnt send you a PM or missed you. Send me a PM.
Bars have been dropped off at the coaters tonight and I should have them all back by the weekend for shipping.
