How much for the 6spd illuminated knobs? The car is a grey market car. The bumpers must have been robbed during the federalization process. You can see where a charcoal canister was also added. The 13 button obc is in german has euro engine arms and flywheel dual botton fog switch. Also has the k40 integrated radar still working.
suberman, it is not illuminated but i do have two 6 speed illuminated knobs if they interest you at all.
Also, how much for the entire steering column with the wheel shipped?

No idea what the knobs are worth. They are both attached too shift boots that you could cut down and attach to the e30 shift boot ring. One is from an e46 m3 the other from an e39 m5. So Just let me know what youd be happy paying.Did you want the steering colum complete with stalks? If so 200 shipped?Dave @ Bimmerbuddies

Since I own a 1986 Euro vert, maybe I can explain about the car a bit. My car was produced 6/86, or at the end of the 1986 model year. The E30 convertible was introduced in Europe in the 1986 model year, 9/85 to 6/86, and superceded the Bauer 323 and 325 convertibles.
When federalized, no bumper modifications were made to my car, just the door structure and the US gauges. They removed the Euro hella headlights and mandated the U.S. lower power ones. They also added side marker lights, front and rear fenders, The rear ones are 2002 ones. I am not sure the origination of the front ones. The front fog lights are the same ones used in the E30M3, and are integrated into the front valance, and were not molested. The PO swapped the the headlights back after federal papers were completed.
My car was imported because the original purchaser did not want to wait until the 1987 cars were shipped (to US specifications) Sept. of 1986, 1987 model year. My vin is last seven digits of 1032336, so only about 600 cars or so different. These cars were hugely popular in the 1980's, and very successfully sold by BMW, at over $30,000 apiece in 1980's dollars. This somewhat accounts for all the E30 verts around today, even 25 years later.
The euro cars had a couple of electrical features that are a bit complicated to do to convert a U.S. model to European, the Fog lights come on without the headlights, which have a "city light" effect when only the fogs are on. There are no front running lights, the amber ones in the bumper are just turn signals. Also, the cars have front and rear fog lights, separately switched. The fog light indicators on the instrument panel have separate icons also.
Of course, the check panel is in German, but this can easily be changed on a US Car as well. The Euro cars are also a bit lighter than the US ones.
I really enjoy my Euro Cabrio, and plan to do some body and cosmetic restoration to it come Spring.Comment
