    Fs: e36 4.45 lsd - SOLD

e36 318iS(a) s4.45 limited slip differential :ohsnap:, guessing it is the smaller cased 168 diff? Im not sure about the interchangeability of the internals with an e30's diff but I know its not a direct bolt on as is. Looks like its an uncommon ratio, especially as its an LSD. SOLD (I will ship it for the cost of postage and paypal fees, right around $60-$90 FedEx.

It is a small case diff and virtually everything 6-cyl (m20, m/s 50/52) will destroy it even if one somehow manages to fit it in the larger case. The only use for it is someone with 318is blowing theirs, and needing an OEM replacement. $300 is unrealistic IMHO.

                        Lol

If sombody here is unfortunate enough to have a 318is and automatic and broken oem diff ..........

Ive seen these units blow up the top cap with stock m42 135hp

This unit will Not fit a e30- to use it one will have to:
                        1. Make sure the top cap is not broken
                        2. Make sure internal clutch discs are not melted $65/per at bimmerworld for new (you need 2)

Have an automatic e30 4 cylinder
Buy or gut the 168mm 4 banger e30 diff

Install the pinion gear and set up the bearing preload with a new bmw crush washer to proper preload drag settings

Setup the ring and pinion relationship and side bearing load to proper

Or one could just buy a 188mm 4, 10 from any automatic e30 325is and just install it as is. They dont have the 168mm problems

                        Rare item? Kinda
Rare buyer as is? Very lol

I think 445 could suit a m42 with a 6 speed, but anyone with that combo probably has spent the money to turbocharge or supercharge and will blow up the 168mn unit in a jiffy.
