Your issue is common for people attempting to use a solid (or rigid) guibo. The wear is due to the driveshaft attempting to flex.

This product looks nice but needs to go back to the drawing board. BMW and many other manufacturers use fiber reinforced rubber for a very specific reason. Unless your drivetrain is perfectly balanced this product will cause more problems than it solves.

Not crapping, just letting you know the issue you posted is a known problem with this product and pointed out when it was introduced. I really wish they could release this in a quality rubber version.

Wow, just trying to explain the issue you had is not your fault but instead a flaw in the product.

But likewise, Good luck selling your broken part asshole.

Dude, take a hint. I'm not hiding that the part is faulty but if you felt the need to explain the issue send me a PM.

I didn't need an explanation of it in a for sale ad.

So thanks to Robert the first offer of $10 takes it. I'm sure someone can get it to work for that much money.

In that case I'll give you $20 to make video of you burning it so you can afford some BHC.

But I was trying to convey that I would take the issue up with R3vshift and ask for a refund. They've been made aware that this issue exists but instead choose to ignore it and let their customers figure it out.

What's BHC? Or am I going to regret asking.

Robert you posted that info in my thread when I never asked for it and after a lovely day at work you were my scape goat for frustration. People on here constantly post unsolicited info in for sale threads. i don’t' know you, but I looked at your post count and assumed you're another person who posts for the love of other people seeing you post.

I purchased and tried to use this about a year ago and had left it in a box till now. I agree I won't be buying anything from Revshift again. To their credit they did try and help after the first one they sent me was clearly shit, but the concept doesn't work in its current form. if you could use rubber inserts instead of poly it could help I guess.

I figure someone on here could experiment with it, the milled aluminum piece is worth at least $20 for someone who has access to the right equipment.

I'm guessing BHC is Butt Hurt Cream.

So just because you don't like one product that we make you are going to say that everything we make is garbage? We haven't had anything but positive reviews of our suspension bushings. We use quality materials. If the drivetrain is misaligned then there will be vibration with our guibos. We even have instructions on our website on how to correct this issue. Robert K has no first hand experience with our guibo, he just hates the concept and takes every opportunity he can to bash it. We sell these things every day, most people don't have issues at all. Unfortunately, the only time someone posts about a product is when they have a problem.

Hey now I never called your stuff garbage! I am still using your engine mounts and their performance has been good but is still being tested.

Again this guibo is a really cool idea, and you tried to help me out which was fair, but my time and money are precious to me because I never seem to have enough. I get bit once and I am likely to move on.

Bullshit. I've had 2 people come to me with issues with your product installed in their M/S5x swapped car trying to use their stock G260 drive shaft and a ZF transmission. Installing the correct drive shaft and RUBBER flex disc solved the issue after NO amount of drive line realignment via "shimming" solved the issue.

You're product is too rigid and fails much sooner than an OEM guibo does while also wearing out the very parts the guibo is designed to protect. Shimming the transmission does little if that person is rocking a 25+ year old drive shaft that needs new U joints in which case they are better off just buying the correct drive shaft for the swap.

Even on Bf.c the person that tried to stand up for your product was disappointed.

Upon installation and test driving, I noticed a shimmy coming from my drivetrain. While I was a little bummed, the installation instructions mentioned this would be a possibility.

I will tweak with shimming my transmission as suggested in Revshift's installation instructions.

Now, I would like to note that I never like a bandaid approach, and would have to say my opinion of the product has decreased.

Should I be unable to eliminate the shimmy by following the suggested instructions, I will return the product and go back to the stock guibo, having had the matter settled.

Thanks for the input. Jon, your example came to mind when a friend of mine was against my idea of removing it. I told him a friend on the forum is running an 800bhp E34 with the stock one and it's running fine. :P I wish I didn't pay good money on this part, woulda rather bought the poly thrust bushings.

Funny how the stock guibo works fine without the need to shim the transmission not to mention your product fails much sooner than an OEM guibo.

You're not the first to try this. Other people / shops have designed and attempted to sell solid urethane, delrin, and aluminum guibos in the past with the exact same issues people are having with your product.

I'm sure your suspension bushings are good since there is really nothing to making them that's why everyone who knows how to mold and cast urethane sells them.

But you cannot say you do not have complaints after seeing pictures of failed 24v swap motor mounts (I know IE has the same issues) and the random drive line issues with your self proclaimed "re-engineered" guibos.

But fair is fair. If you made a quality reinforced 24v ZF swap guibo out of fiber reinforced vulcanized rubber I would buy it.

Furthermore, if a customer installs your product and it is not able to perform as well if not better than OEM then they should be afforded a full refund.
