Sorry, I was under the assumption that I had slacked for too long. I'll do my best to check the dimensions again.

np. 8). I have had my car on jackstands for the majority of four months. lol. the one day I did drive it it had no muffler. so I have been pretty slow as well with the car. I saw your rallycross thread and man you're really gettin some major time into that thing! it looks like great fun.'87 325is [because racecar]

So here is the deal...I can ship it, but it will be crazy expensive. I mean, I have the thing sitting around and since I went with a completely custom exhaust it is just wasting space. It is genuine BMW and is in good shape, but I wanted to go a different route when I deleted my cat since it is a track-only car.
Even finding a box to hold it is a problem, and I really worry that it would get damaged in shipment. If I have to pack and ship it I will have to charge all of the costs to get it ready to ship- packing materials, etc. I think that it would fit in 2 golf bag boxes end-to-end, which run about $10 each- I used them when I shipped bumpers in the past. On top of that, FedEx will charge a dimensional weight to ship it.
I found this shipping size/weight estimate: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-17...s-muffler.aspx
Using that info, it came out to a shipping cost of $131 PLUS the packaging...plus $20 for the muffler.
It might be cheaper for me to make clean cuts in the pipes in the straight section in front of the muffler and you have it welded back together. I can do just about anything to it to save money on shipping but it is the buyer's choice.Comment
