any info on including the selector rod joint that was mentioned? And is there anything else that should be replaced while in there? I'm definitely looking to get rid of as much 'slop' as possible

Got my kit a few days back. After filing down the plastic on the shifter it now fits my akg dssr like a damn glove! Good communication, good price, fast shipping fr coast to coast.

Now if only I could get my car out of the dn body shop to install all these goodies...

                  Bro, it's a shift lever
For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

Can anyone chime in on the fitment on the 2.8/3.0 rod? Is it direct plug and play? Or do you need to bend the selector rod a little to clear the giubo?

I've run it with no selector rod mods.

                      Thanks Matt!

Also, on the 2.8 rod; how bad is the tweak in driving position? Is it enough to be noticeable and annoying? Or is it so small that you can't notice it unless you really try?

That's a relative question. It's not perfect, but it's not bad. The position is just changed, depends on if you can get used to it or not. You can still get into all of the gears just fine.

Had the 2.8/3.0 on my 318iS. It looked a bit off position-wise, but felt great. Unless you spend more time staring at the position of the shifter than driving, you'll probably love it.
