So If you didnt hear all my complaints over the past few months, I bought a 91 318is with a seized m42.. Took that m42 out and dropped in another m42 with 140k miles. I did EVERYTHING on it.
Here is a list of the parts i replaced in the last 1,000 miles on the running 140k m42:
Water Pump
Coolant mess (mess under the intake) with all new hoses
Plastic water tube
Both Temp Sensors
Crank/Cam Sensors
Valve Cover Gasket
Upper Oil Pan Gasket (loctited bolts)
Lower Oil Pan Gasket
Timing tensioner piston
Upper Intake Gasket
Lower Intake Gasket
Throttle body gasket
Intake Boot
New Spark Plugs
Transmission mounts
Engine Mounts
Alternator
Fresh Mobil 1 Oil
Might be missing a thing or two..
This engine also comes with the other engine that was seized. A perfect parts motor.
I also have 2 transmissions (getrag 240). One with 240k on it and one with 90k on it. Installed is a brand new clutch and an m20 flywheel conversion on the car right now that I am including with the sale.
So altogether you are getting:
-1 refreshed 140k M42 that runs with no leaks of any sort (installed)
-1 seized m42 as a spare parts motor
-1 Getrag 240, 240k 5 speed from a 91 m42 (installed)
-1 Getrag 240, 90k 5 speed from a m10 m42
-Engine harness
-DME with Mark D chip
Asking around 800... open to offers! Not looking to ship.. Unless you pay for everything.
