I can provide some installed pics once my newest beater goes back together. Possibly this weekend.

so it has similar notchiness as z3 shifter?
Also, any modification/bending of the selector rod needed?

My future plans include an AKG shifter, but that's a long way out. I really should buy one of these, as well as all of the carrier bushings.

That's a good question! I'd think so judging by the look of the stock E46 M3 shifter.

I may throw one of these in my E36 M3 for testing as well.

Yup, with a weighted knob its actually very smooth. I paid $80-$85 for my shifter alone without the kit so this is a pretty good deal for a SSK short enough for Vin Diesel but smooth enough your arthritic grandmother can shift it AND no modification is required.

                    shifting...

Is this similar to a Z3 2.8/3.0 Shifter?

If you can post a comparison picture It'd prob help folks to determine height/throw etc.

What's the shift lever ratio on this?

                    Thanks.

This is going to feel smoother than the Z3 2.8 shifter.

It has a slightly shorter throw but a taller height which provides more leverage!

I have not tested in an E30 M3 but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. PM me.
