I could not get the Schrick 288 camshaft tuned right without dyno time. Mr. Burns backed out(zero upset on both our ends).
I am placing the engine back up for sale since my M30 is finished. The b27i is on an engine stand sitting in the corner of the shop. Here is what I have into it:
Super ETA(bottom end)
b25(885) head upgrade/intake manifold
-Schrick 288 cam
-Schrick HP dual valve springs
-IE HD Rockers
-IE Adjustable cam gear
-Cometic .70 MLS
-ARP studs
- New Guides/valves
-Bosch Plat 4 plugs
-new thermostat housing
-grape color powder coated b25 intake manifold
-m50 injectors(stock b25 included)
Head was done at a performance speed shop(320.00)
Bottom end was serviced by BMW in 2005 and has new bearings and FRESH gorgeous cross hatching. Car sat for about 7-8 years or so till I picked it up. Reason it sat? broken fuel sending line on top of fuel tank.
If you swap out the 288 cam for a b25 or a 272 you can slap a snail on this and shit allllllll over s52, s54 etc. Engine it built to handle abuse.
Everything was resealed and the timing and everything was replaced with all new everything. A few vacuum lines remain OG to the engine. It is fresh and ready for NA stroker, boost or whatever you want.
I have about 2,300 into the engine WITHOUT INCLUDING the block or head cost.
**Yes I know it cost more than a m50 or s50 and close to s52 money** This is not a junkyard M50 or S50 engine, it is gone through and built out the ass for boost or a 3.0 bottom end. So keep the comments out of here ;)
Here is three paths I will take:
Engine as is(needs to be tuned) 1,900 obo picked up.
Engine with a b25 camshaft(takes the valve lift to a proper 7 degrees instead of 11.6). 1,600 obo
Or I will part it out GIVEN ONLY that I get enough people requesting parts.
**Please state what you want of the engine if so. Make a list and I will PM you.
Trades:
Turbo(GT37R, Hx35 or 40) no shaft play OR ebay garbage.
MS management
Intercooler, blow off 38mm or so(running two on my twin scroll setup)
M5 flywheel or other m30 useable setups(must beable to handle close to 400hp+)
Wheels(BBS RC090 +cash or other makes)
Tig welder(I own a Miller MIG already)
metal lathe
Bmw cars in need of work
Motorcycle(cash on my end if more than my engine)
