So I have an engine I bought from a junkyard that I no longer need. A local shop is storing it for me. My ad is shown below, however I can't verify that it has good compression, or even the number of miles.
So, for an "as-is" M52, how should I price it so it will sell locally (Las Vegas) within a few weeks?
Q2, Is it possible for the shop to mount a starter and test compression on a stand? How much would verified compression add to the value?
------------
BMW E36 used engine M52b28 single vanos
Iron block
From 1996 328i 4-door automatic
VIN: WBACD4320TAV38893
116,000 miles
Comes with intake & exhaust manifolds, ignition coils, and injectors
Valve cover was cracked in shipping and needs to be replaced
Engine is from Ohio and block is rusty
