Hey anyone that is interested and thinking about this. Its very easy to install and the rest of the parts are super cheap. 318ti antenna grommet, and stubby antenna.

Here is a picture of my set up. Sorry for the other half of the picture. Its the only picture I have of the short antenna. Reception is the same, if not better then the original e30 antenna I had. I am very happy with this mod.
