          What is the item underneath the "channel locks"? I've seen it nested inside the spark plug wrench but it seems to be missing (or not included) in a lot of tool kits.

              the piece beneath the channel lock should be for the spark plug tool at the bottom i believe, but im not 100% sure, i think mine is a little different maybe

                      That piece below the channel locks also fits in the lug bolt hole to align the wheel when you're changing tires. That's the one that comes in the E28/24 and is much better than the one used in the E30 tool kit.
