Got my smileys and unfortunately I was dissapointed. The frame on one of them is broken and on that same one, the adjusters were broken as well. The point where they screw on the frame had been pasted and just came lose when trying to adjust. Now the high beam cannot be fixed into a position and it just moves back and forth, unless I put epoxy - I guess. The low beam on that same one is just shot, can't be opened. In general terms they are just a 5/10 and one is just unusable with a broken frame. Contacted Will to exchange the passanger's side and send back the one I got from him but the response was that the frame had not gone out broken, so a claim would need to be filed and that the adjusters were a $2 fix. Its not fixable. In any event just ask for lots and lots of pictures of the smileys you are getting so you just don't throw away 200+ dollars like I did.

Jose was completely unwilling to listen to any guidance on how to sort this. The "broken adjusters" are a couple of $2 clips. The low beam that can't be opened - alloy/plastic friction, same as every set of lights - needs some lube spray to free up. Broken frame - still waiting on pictures to show so that claim can be filed if they were broken in transit. Still seems pretty obvious that if there is damage to the frame, then there is damage claim needs filed.
Anyway, because painting this negative image is particularly unhelpful and inaccurate of how things really panned out, here is a full transcript of all emails sent received since the lights arrived:

                    > As stated on my previous message, the smileys I got from you are not in good shape. Specifically, the passenger's side has 2 broken adjusters, a broken frame and the low beams are shut, they can't be opened. I really need you to exchange the passenger's headlight because its unusable. I can ship it back to you.

can you show me a picture of the broken frame? It wasn't set out broken, so we may need to file a claim on that.
                    Thanks

                    From: moranpepe

Will do but its not only the frame, two of the adjusters just won't hold the lens in place at all.

The adjusters will be the little plastic clips on the end, they are fragile and them breaking is very common, only $2 from the dealers.

Not just that but where it turns on the frame but listen, just forget about it I'll assume the loss. I'm not trying to get anything for free from you just something that is in usable condition. I said I would send it back to you but you just seem to want to justify your sale and not cooperate with me.

Don't worry I'll take care off it

Cool Will, maybe I didn't see where you mentioned that we would work out a way to get me a usable headlight.

I apologize if I've insulted you because it is unnecessary, but the truth is I got a crappy headlight and I don't see you trying to work out a way to get my problem fixed while I'm out of $210.

Like I said, if it takes me to lose my money so be it.

You didn't see me mention it because I haven't. But just because I haven't immediately said i will send you out a completely new set brand new from BMW FOC does not mean that I am not working on this. If I wanted to brush you off I would not have replied at all, would I? You apologise but then you still continue in the same vein - if you are not prepared to communicate with me and answer the questions I have then I will not be in any way able to help you out.

So so far you've said the frame is broken and I've suggested that a claim would need to be filed if it has been broken in transit. You've ignored me asking for a picture of same.
Now what kind of "not working this out" would fit in with me suggesting I open a claim with the carriers? Your logic is unfounded. I've also explained that your assessment of "unusable" because of two $2 clips is easily rectifiable.

So, so far, I have absolutely nothing to work from, and yet I am still trying to fix this situation, but you have accused me of the exact opposite, said I am not co-operating whilst doing exactly that yourself as I try to find a solution.

Either way, it does not concern me, its is easily sorted, but if you do not want to, that's fine also. But if you do, it goes two ways, and you must provide me with the information I ask for.

I paid for the french headlights a week ago and they still have not been shipped, he provided a tracking number but it still hasn't been taken to a facility. I have not received a complete coherent answer yet as to why it has taken so long for these to ship only a one sentence reply saying it should have been taken to ship.

You just said it was booked to go out last Friday, doesn't answer whether it was shipped or not, even if you told me you guys forgot to ship i'd be happy as long as there was communication. I've emailed you multiple times asking.

We clearly did not forget to ship it as you have the tracking number. After we book it with UPS it is up to them to collect it and normally they do this by reversing their wagon up to our warehouse and loading themselves. We've no reason to go chasing them, unless there's a non-collection, in which case we go check and see if there are parcels upside down or forgotten. You were told we would check, once we had time to come online and check emails, and see that we needed to do that. One of our guys stayed behind after work of his own volition to check for you, but that was definitely not appreciated so he went home instead. This morning I have been on to UPS about not taking this parcel and it should go later today.
Just because you do not receive an answer immediately does NOT mean that we are not taking care of it.

I was at no point informed that you would look into it, until after I posted here. That's what it took, less than minutes later I recieve a email from you after posting here. As you can see from the mail communications i attempted to contact you multiple times by asking when it will ship but again only recieved an answer saying it should have shipped Friday at no point did it say hey let me check that out.

Posting up ignorant messages is not the way to get it.
Time difference means I should be eating my dinner at home right now, not sitting in work after everyone else has gone home trying to check if your package is in the warehouse or already gone yet. But then when I look for the keys to open up again, I get a ping about a message posted and it's jumping WAY ahead and basically running up down before we've even had a chance to even look at the issue.
I'm starving, I'm going home. Will post it out tomorrow, UK time.
