    Alpina B3 2.7 Performance Chip

Hey Guys, looking to sell my Alpina B3 2.7 Performance Chip. It's a clone, but works great. Works best with 2.7i's (327i). Probably would work on a modded 2.5, but no experience there.

Looking to get 150 shipped. I know these things are hard to find. I had a rough time finding it before.

        That would be me!

Do you have any info on how this is different than your run of the mill 2.5 chip? How exactly does it take advantage of the added displacement?

        Thanks!

Not sure how to answer your question really....i tried a dinan chip personally with my 2.7i and it was crap compared to the alpina. also, a bunch of he say/she say that this is the best chip. and its hard to get a hold of...

          Here's some info i copied from e30tech.com

          "Here we have ALPINA B3 2.7 performance chip for BMW M20 (6cylinder, 12valve) engine - e30 and e34.
The chip was taken out of 1990 e30 Alpina B3 2.7 Kat (204HP, 265Nm). This is very rare item.
Performance gains on not modified 2.5 engine depends from the engine condition and other mods (like sport exhaust system, cold air intake system, etc.).
8-10HP and 10-15Nm increase is expected. Responsive and smooth acceleration, strong near the redline. The engine will rev faster and make very nice sound, aggressive sounding and very smooth 900rpm idle. Rev limiter moved to safe 6850 rpm zone.

Alpina B3 2.7 chip is also recommended for modified M20B25 engines or M20 327i / 328i. Especialy if you have setup similar to original Alpina engine:
          - 2.7 l displacement.
          - Ported cylinderhead.
          - 6 branch exhaust manifold
          - High compression ratio pistons (~9.8:1)
This setup will give you 204HP, 265Nm.

The chip was tested with 173 ECU and is in 100% working condition.
I can also provide instructions how to install the chip, if needed.

          Idle: ~900rpm
          Rev limit: ~6850rpm

          e30 BMW 325i/is/ic/ix manufacture date 1987.09-1991.03
          e34 BMW 525i manufacture date 1986.12-1990.09

          Supported ECU's (Engine Control Unit):
          BOSCH Motronic 0 261 200 172
          BOSCH Motronic 0 261 200 173

So this will work on a m20b25 with a sport exhaust?
If so this sounds very promising...
Does it require upgraded injectors or are they even recommended?

THe chip is sold. Getting shipped out tomorrow.

Just a sport exhaust I dunno what would be expected. I'd imagine its better than no chip. BUt the alpina 2.7 had a cam, headers, and more fuel so I'd match those if you wish to use the alpina chip.

Id say its more for strokers, or highly modified 2.5's
