If you want to pay 1400 Euro for a 22+ year old engine, be my guest.

In fact, I'd like to keep the engine for me, to install it in my cabrio. That's why I announced such a high price for the engine. And yeah, it's a 22 years old engine, but it's also a genuine Alpina (with AAC, high compression pistons...) and I'm currentlu buying a true head for my B6 3.5 2000 €... so it's not so exensive!?

Well, I hope you'll understand and that we'll stay in good term.

      Regards,

      Thomas

You obviously don't have a clue. The engine is as valuable as one is willing to pay for it, and considering it's extreme rarity, he's not being at all unreasonable. Alpina is very high end and if you don't want to buy any of his parts, stop mucking up his thread.

            Word!
1400 seems pretty cheap, seeing as the M20 headers and exhaust, and cam kit are over 2000 alone new.
