328i has m52s, which explains the intake manifold. I think you have a m52

Its def not a M52. Check out the vin code on the back of the head and the block code I have posted. If you run the vin it comes back as a 03/94 M50, the M52 has the oil cap towards the front of the engine, the M50 is in the back of the engine. The M52 didn't have an engine block code of "256S2", the M52 2.5L started with engine block code of "256S3"

I have done a lot of research and reading but I always welcome people inputs. The only reasoning I can come up with someone putting a M50 OBD1 into a OBD2 car and retaining the M52 intake is to keep the car a OBD2...but I don't even know if that is possible.
